the NSA, 2009

The National Security Agency — the so called SHADOW FACTORY is becoming more and more public these years. Drawing inspiration from fireflies’ flash pattern, this project explores a new way to maintain the privacy of the NSA while bringing in concerns for humanity. The design proposal dissolves the massive building volume into atmosphere with light reflections distributed along the façade generated by the transformation of corner reflectors, varying with visual interaction from the observer's movements.
